Private Lessons

In the private percussion lessons, the focus is on developing a solid and independent foundation on the congas. Students usually begin with one drum, gradually expanding to multiple congas as their technique and confidence grow. The classes are open to all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced players.

The teaching approach explores a wide range of rhythmic traditions while specializing in Afro-Cuban and traditional African rhythms. Alongside learning grooves and patterns, students develop the essential techniques that allow them to play comfortably, expressively, and with good sound.

A key part of the lessons is understanding each student individually. Attention is given to personal interests, character, experience level, and physical abilities. This allows the technical training to be adapted to each person so that playing feels natural and sustainable.

Through this tailored approach, students learn the fundamental techniques of hand percussion, develop rhythmic awareness, and gain the tools to explore their own musical path with confidence and independence.
