Calimba Lessons

The kalimba offers a unique and intimate way to explore rhythm and melody. In these lessons, students learn a distinctive playing style developed through years of musical exploration and teaching.

Classes are open to all ages and levels. Beginners are guided through the fundamentals of the instrument, including how to hold it comfortably, how to tune it, and how to create clear and balanced sound. From there, students begin learning simple rhythms and melodies that gradually develop into more complex musical ideas.

The approach encourages creativity and personal expression while building a strong technical foundation. Over time, students learn how to combine rhythm and melody naturally, allowing them to explore the full musical possibilities of the instrument.

Students are welcome to bring their own kalimba, and instruments can also be provided during the lessons. Having a kalimba available at home is recommended for regular practice and continued development.
